National Assembly
The National Assembly (Assemblee Nationale) is the lower house of France's bicameral Parliament (Parlement) with 577 seats. Among these, 556 are for metropolitan France, while the remaining 10 are for overseas departments, and 11 for citizens abroad. Members are directly elected by absolute majority vote in 2 rounds if needed to serve 5-year terms.
