National Assemby
The National Assembly (Inama Nshingamateka) is the lower chamber of the bicameral legislature of Burundi consists of 121 seats as of 2015, among which 100 members are directly elected in multi-seat constituencies by proportional representation vote and 21 co-opted members. The seats are ethnically allocated that 60% goes to Hutu and 40% to Tutsi. 3 seats are reserved for Twas. 30% of seats are reserved for women. Members serve 5-year terms.
