National Assembly
The National Assembly (Majlisi Milli) is the upper house of Tajikistan's bicameral Supreme Assembly (Majlisi Oli) with 34 seats. 25 members are indirectly elected by local representative assemblies or majlisi, 8 appointed by the president, and 1 reserved for each living former president. Members serve 5-year terms.
