Pierre Nkurunziza
Pierre Nkurunziza is a Burundian politician who was elected the 10th President since 2005. Nkurunziza is the chairman of the ruling party NCDD - FDD. In 2015, his nomination by his party for a 3rd term in office was controversial regarding whether it was legal for him to run again. In 2018, Nkurunziza announced that he would not stand in elections.
